In this video, we are sharing our end-of-summer chores as we prepare for winter. We started processing the wood we had delivered back in the spring while the snow was still on the ground. This video showcases a glimpse of two full days’ worth of work while Daryl was off, all condensed into a 20-minute clip.

Molly was something else! In the spring of 2023 the kids put chicken eggs under her, and when she hatched them and they were ready to get out of the nest, the first thing she did was bring them to the window and started hollering. I don’t think most of the footage I showed here ever made it to YouTube. Those chicks came from our first year hens, and had something wrong with them. She hatched 3. One died in the nest, one died in the yard (she came to get us for that too) and the third died (in a make shift pen we ended up putting them in) beside Molly.
