We are just going to be talking about our first seven years here… the ups and downs… the good and bad. Life has not always been easy for us, as it appears to sometimes be just by watching our recent videos from the last year.
When we had the idea for “Follow Alaska” (Soon to be “The Simple Alaskans”) back in 2018 all we wanted to do was share the truth about living here, without the Hollywood spin on things. As life would have it, things went sideways more than once. There is a whole lot, between then and now that has happened to get us to this point.
We have decided to share because we know there are a lot of people who come to Alaska with hopes and dreams, and they get here only to have them broken. That bothers us because life here, or anywhere else for that matter is a lot more than what you may see in videos. That’s why we have decided to share our backstory with all of you, LIVE and RAW, and not in an edited version.
Our complete story has not been shared here before because we either did not think anyone would find what was happening interesting, or we were afraid what was happening would just be taken as drama and/or click bait.
Everything has its own timing and its own seasons, and to this day we just want to tell the truth, our truth, about living in this wonderful place. With many things behind us, it’s time to just share our story. If you have questions feel free to ask! Here’s to new beginnings as we head into the next chapter with it just being Daryl and I.
