Our community of Kenny Lake, Alaska is located in the Copper River Valley. Kenny Lake may have less than 200 residents, but we are a tight knit community with a few hidden treasures that are run by people that love this place, that we all call home.
As you turn off the Richardson Highway towards Chitina, the first place you will find that’s open to the public is Kenny Lake Mercantile located at mile marker 7.2 of the Edgerton Highway. Otherwise known as, The Merc, this place is locally owned and operated.
You can grab a snack, fill your tank and get propane. If you need a campsite for your RV, or a shower, they can hook you up. Fishing and camping supplies are also sold here. Air, Laundry, and rooms are also available. If you forgot to print out your fishing license, they can help you there too as long as you have already purchased it online! Be sure to stop in and see them when you are headed out to dip net, to sightsee, or heading to the park.
